Addressing your mental health holistically

My services

Psychotherapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, acceptance commitment therapy, and self-compassion practices. I will listen to you and hear your story, and help with tools that can free you from negative thought patterns and move forward towards a joyful relationship with yourself and your children.

Lifestyle Coaching

We will address sleep, movement, and nutrition that may be affecting your mental health. I will support you in making small changes towards your goals. I will also focus on ways to simplify your life so that you can focus on the things that matter most to you.

Medication Management

Integrative psychiatry means using medications as one tool in your treatment while using holistic strategies to provide extra support. We will work to find the best medication regimen with the least side effects.

Supplements/Nutraceuticals

I can help you utilize nutritional supplements to optimize your mental health. If you are already on supplements, I can help you optimize it by making sure you are taking the right supplements and dose as well as ensure there are no dangerous interactions between medications and supplements you are taking.

Mind-body Medicine

We will address the connection between the mind and body and learn mindfulness skills to help regulate your emotions. Several of these skills can be taught to kids as well. I can support you in teaching them these skills too.

Testing (Lab testing and Genetic Testing)

We will run labs to address your nutrient level so we can correct any deficiencies that may be contributing to mental health symptoms. We may also order genetic testing to predict your response to specific medications and optimize your medication regimen.

FAQ

  • I work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, PMDD/PMS, and perimenopausal mood issues. I work with pregnant and postpartum women as well as those trying to conceive. I also enjoy working with mothers of children ages 0-12 and incorporating parenting skills support. I work with a few teens in my practice.

  • Navigate to the contact page to schedule an initial 15 minute phone call. We will discuss your needs and see whether we are a good fit.

  • A psychiatric nurse practitioner looks at you holistically and is able to provide medications and psychotherapy for various mental health concerns. In addition, my continuing education in integrative medicine allows me to use other modalities like movement, exercise, sleep, supplements, nutrition, and mind-body medicine.

  • I am not participating in insurance plans at my practice. This allows me to provide personalized care, take more time, and utilize evidence-informed integrative treatments. I use Reimbursify https://reimbursify.com/ to help simplify the process of submiting claims and using your out-of-network benefits.

  • Fees range from $245 to $495. See services section above. In order to make integrative/holistic psychiatry more accessible, I reserve a few reduced fee slots in my practice for those that require this.

  • I currently see patients virtually in Oregon and Texas. In-person services available in the Austin area.

  • While a majority of my practice is focused on the unique experiences of women, I work with anyone interested in a holistic or integrative approach to their mental health.

  • Credit cards, HSA, or FSA cards

  • This is individualized. However, in general, your first contact with me will be the free 15 minute phone call to get a sense of your needs and answer your questions about my approach. We will then schedule your initial evaluation which includes discussing a treatment plan at the end of the evaluation. Subsequently, we will schedule follow-up appointments every 3-4 weeks in order to check in on progress and make changes to the treatment plan accordingly. With the right treatment combination for you, people start to feel better in 1-3 months. As treatment progresses, the frequency of appointments reduce. When treatment is stable, we move out our appointments to ever 3 months. I’m able to accomodate more frequent appointments if needed. We will collaborate on the plan regarding discontinuing treatment when indicated.

“Thank you! My relationship with my child is so much more joyful, and I can really be more present. ”
